The AP United States Government and Politics course will introduce students to the workings of American government and politics. Major topics include the five areas listed by the College Board: constitutional democracy, civil liberties and civil rights, American political culture and beliefs, political participation, and interaction among branches. Students will practice writing evidence-based essays and analyzing Supreme Court decisions and AP-required foundational documents. This course helps prepare students to take the AP United States Government and Politics exam.
